A beefy graphics card paired with the stunning 14-inch display dimension at an reasonably priced value? That’s the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, and once you add extras like an OLED show and battery life spectacular for a gaming laptop computer, it’s arduous for me to not fall in love with this factor.
The G14 is the smallest mannequin within the Zephyrus line, so it’s extraordinarily moveable. You possibly can outfit it with an Nvidia RTX 4060 or 4070 graphics card, relying on whether or not you wish to avoid wasting money or max it out. It feels as snug to make use of because the Macbook Air M1 (2020) that I take advantage of for work, nevertheless it comes with luxurious options that make enjoying video games—and even watching films—a top-tier expertise.
Work-Life Stability
The Zephyrus G14 isn’t constructed to be a powerhouse—contemplate a laptop computer just like the Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 for that—however what energy it does have is properly allotted. The Zephyrus is powered by AMD’s Ryzen R9 8945HS, a strong processor, paired with the RTX 4060 laptop computer graphics card—it tackles most video games with ease and might even run among the heaviest AAA titles fairly properly.
Each Starfield and Cyberpunk 2077 managed to keep up a decent 50 to 60 frames per second on medium graphics settings on the laptop computer’s full 2,880 X 1,800 decision. Starfield dipped to round 40 fps in areas like New Atlantis which have famously struggled to get very excessive body charges. However that is nonetheless fairly excessive provided that Starfield is capped at 30 fps on the Xbox.

When adjusting the show to 1,080p, I may crank the graphics settings in Cyberpunk and Starfield as much as excessive whereas sustaining roughly the identical 50 to 60 fps. By staying on medium, I acquired over 60 fps in each video games. I choose the latter strategy since smoother gameplay feels higher for me than additional foliage element, however there’s flexibility right here to tailor the expertise to your wishes.
Like most gaming laptops, you gained’t spend a lot time enjoying on this machine away from a charger. Nevertheless, the G14 nonetheless impressed by getting practically two hours of gameplay whereas working video games like Cyberpunk. Overwatch 2 lasted nearer to an hour and a half, which is sensible, provided that in faster-paced aggressive video games, I are inclined to lean on getting not less than 90 fps for a clean expertise.
When utilizing the laptop computer for extra typical work or informal use, I acquired nearer to 11 hours of battery life, spectacular amongst any Home windows laptop computer. I may simply use the Zephyrus G14 as my every day driver and really feel snug getting a whole day’s value of labor carried out on a single cost.
